TULSA, Oklahoma -

Police are searching for people who left the scene of two different crashes overnight Sunday. The first took place just after 1 a.m.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Tulsa Fire Department responded to a car on fire in a ditch near 31st Street and the Creek Turnpike. OHP says the driver of the car was rescued by Good Samaritans and was then picked up by friends, leaving the scene before first responders arrived.

Authorities believe the driver failed to stop at a stop sign, jumped the curb and went into the ditch. Tulsa Police will be investigating the crash and are looking for the driver, troopers said.

About an hour later, Tulsa police tried to pull over a motorcyclist who was speeding on the Broken Arrow Expressway. Police said the driver didn't pull over but sped through a curve near the Sheridan exit and crashed.

The driver managed to leave the scene. Police said they searched for him for over an hour with the helicopter not just for eluding but because they thought he must be injured.

The bike wasn't registered, so they aren't sure how they will locate him.
