Police are investigating after a man was shot in the stomach early Tuesday in east Tulsa.
Officers said about 4:30 a.m. a group was walking on East 11th Street when they were confronted by a man who accused them of stealing a stereo from his vehicle.
The victims argued with the man who left but then returned a short time later as they walked near Mingo and Admiral Place. They told police the man, a passenger in gray-colored Ford Mustang got out and fired six shots at them, hitting one man in the stomach.
Police said EMSA took the victim to the hospital. They said he is expected to survive.
Police said they have recovered the Mustang as well as the shell casings from the shooting.
Officers are interviewing witnesses to get a description of the shooter.
