A 6-year-old Atoka boy is in critical condition after a semi truck ran into the back of a car he was riding in. The three-vehicle collision took place at 11:40 a.m. on State Highway 7 just west of Atoka, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Autumn Holt was stopped to turn left when a Mack truck hit her from behind. It pushed her Chevy four door into oncoming traffic where the car collided with the side of another semi truck.

Roger Taylor, of Telephone, Texas, was driving the truck that rear-ended Holt's car. Neither he nor the other semi driver was injured.

Holt was taken to the hospital where she is said to be stable with head injuries. Her 6-year-old passenger was flown by medical helicopter to an Oklahoma City hospital. He is critical with head injuries, according to the collision report.

Troopers blamed the wreck on the truck driver's inattention. They say Taylor was in apparently normal condition before the wreck.
