President Obama is now back in the nation's Capitol after his two-day trip to Oklahoma. News 9 spoke with one of our state senators on his reaction to the Presidential visit.

Before President Obama's visit, Senator James Lankford welcomed the President to the Sooner state, but hoped the Commander in Chief would announce support for the Keystone XL pipeline.

Instead, while here, the President introduced a new internet initiative called ConnectHome. He also shined a spotlight on his desire to reform the criminal justice system.

POTUS toured the Federal Correctional Institute in El Reno and met with inmates on his final day. Now Sen. Lankford said he wants to see more details about ConnectHome before making an opinion, and criminal justice reform is a complete bipartisan issue, both Republican and Democrat.

But the Senator is hesitant on the President's reform.

As for the confederate flags that were waved in Oklahoma, Sen. Lankford said this is a country based on free speech, but he was surprised. He expected protests on energy and the Keystone X-L pipeline instead.
