TULSA, Oklahoma - We're learning more about the Bixby man accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter. Gary Mikel Grodin faces 15 counts of sexual assault and 18 counts of manufacturing child porn.

Police say the crimes happened in Illinois, but he was arrested Thursday in Tulsa.

Grodin has two children of his own here in Oklahoma and their mother says she is sickened by the allegations.

A handcuffed Gary Grodin had nothing to say as members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force walked him out of the Tulsa Police Department, but his ex-girlfriend, the mother of his two children, has plenty to say.

“It's disturbing. It's upsetting, sickening,” she said. “Disgusted. There's nothing else. I was shocked. I couldn't believe, I've known him for years and he's never done anything to my kids… that I was aware of.”

She doesn't believe her children are victims of Grodin’s, but we still interviewed her by phone in an effort to protect their identities.

She says she and Grodin met 12 years ago and had an on-and-off relationship for years.

“It didn't really last, because he couldn't stay off the drugs,” she said. “He was a heavy drug user, I'm sure you could tell with his mug shot.”

She says Grodin has been living in Illinois with a new girlfriend and the girlfriend's children for a few years.

Grodin is now charged with using zip-ties to hold that woman’s 10-year-old daughter down while forcing sexual acts. Police say he recorded the crime, then bragged about it to a friend on Facebook. That friend called police.

Grodin's current girlfriend called the mother of his children back in Oklahoma to warn he may be on his way to the state -- and he was. The ex says Grodin's girlfriend also told her about some of the things he said.

“He was planning on staying in a relationship with [the 10 year old] and when she turned 17, they were gonna run away together,” she said.

The victim is the same age as one of Grodin's own children. His ex says she has only one question for him.

“Why? That would probably be the only thing I would say. I have nothing else to say to him, except why would he do something like this?” she said.

Investigators say there could be more victims out there.

Grodin's ex says she has had a talk with her children and does not believe anything's ever happened to them.

Illinois detectives were in Tulsa today questioning Grodin and hoping they could take him back with them.

Grodin did not waive his right to extradition, which means he'll be here in Tulsa for a while longer.
