Both Stoney LaRue Phillips and his girlfriend of three years took to social media on Tuesday to downplay his arrest on a domestic violence complaint.

Phillips, 38, only spent about four hours at the Oklahoma County Jail after being arrested by OKC police before he posted a $4,000 bond on Monday. He also had a protective order filed against him the same day.

The protective order was filed by Amanda Winsworth, who lists Stoney LaRue Phillips as her boyfriend.

Winsworth wrote that Phillips came home drunk at 4 a.m. with another woman and that they were partying downstairs, so she went outside to sleep in her car. She went on to write that when she came back in at 7 a.m. to take a shower and get ready for work, Phillips woke up and ripped the dryer out of her hands and started punching her.

She also claimed Phillips pushed her down twice, and even pushed her down a flight of stairs inside their Midtown loft, located inside the same building where the Garage restaurant stands, near NW 10th and Robinson.

Neighbors say they heard a scuffle coming from inside their private access apartment. And one neighbor even saw the country music star had been locked out of the loft when he tried to return Monday afternoon.

Winsworth posted a video of her and Phillips on her Instagram page back in November, while they were at the sprint cup NACAR races with friends at the Texas Motor Speedway, noting these were “#happytimes”.

On Tuesday, both she and Phillips posted this on their Twitter pages, stating "the happenings of this incident have been blown out of proportion by the media.”

Winsworth also wrote, “I was never struck by my boyfriend” and then "please respect our privacy while we fix this matter."

But according to the protective order that Winsworth filed, she documented that Phillips did hit her, and that she had "bruises all over her legs and shoulders”. She wrote she ran to her phone, called 911 and locked herself in the bathroom. She also wrote a police officer took pictures of her and also took her statement.

The police report confirms she did have scrapes and scratches on her back.

News 9 checked and the only other arrest Stoney LaRue Phillips had in Oklahoma was back in 2001 in Stillwater. He was accused and charged with drug possession but pleaded ‘not guilty’. Records show the charges were dismissed.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Phillips posted the following message on his social media platforms:

“I want to apologize to my family, my friends and my fans for the recent circumstances that have come to light. I am going to take some time to work on myself. I will be entering an intensive and extensive program, and I appreciate your thoughts and good wishes for me during this trying time. Please check my website and Facebook page for updates on my upcoming tour dates, but most importantly, I appreciate your support during this time.”
