There were plenty of offensive fireworks in Round Rock on Monday night. Unfortunately for Oklahoma City, most of the fireworks were in favor of the Express.

Both teams had 12 hits, but the Express turned in more than twice as many runs as Round Rock took down the Dodgers, 11-5.

The loss meant a split of the four-game series between the two teams. OKC now heads to Memphis to begin the final leg of a 13-game marathon of a road trip.

Round Rock burst out to a 5-1 lead after two innings. Two of those came on an Ed Lucas homer in the bottom of the first inning. The Dodgers managed to get a run in the top of the inning, but left runners on second and third.

After a scoreless third, Round Rock scored at least one run in the next four innings. Oklahoma City had no issues putting the bat on the ball, but couldn’t deliver key hits or move runners over. The Dodgers finished 2-of-10 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.

Trevor Cahill took the loss for the Dodgers, while Ross Wolf picked up his 10th win of the year for Round Rock despite giving up eight hits and four earned runs.

OKC and Memphis begin their series at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday night.
