After a fun morning of golf with Bob Stoops at his annual golf outing at an awesome-looking Jimmie Austin Golf Course in Norman, we spent a few minutes getting caught up with a few OU assistant coaches.

Stoops, who drained birdie putts of 50, 30 and 20 feet, played his final round of the summer and seemed optimistic about the club he’ll go to battle with in 2015. Note in the attached interview how his answer to my question about when he’d like to name a starting quarterback is a little different from what new offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley told us a few minutes later.

The final part of the interview is with new outside receivers’ coach, Dennis Simmons, who worked with Riley in the Air Raid offense at both Texas Tech and East Carolina, and spent his last three seasons under the Mad Scientist, Mike Leach, at Washington State.
