BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

On Thursday, people filled the Indian Springs Baptist Church, all coming together to grieve the death of David and April Bever and their children, and to pray for the two girls who survived.

There was music and praise for the first responders who were first to find the Bever's stabbed to death. “To me that was one of the most important things of the service, to stand and us show them honor for what they do," said neighbor Linda Miller.

Chaplin Richard Manganaro spoke on the tragedy as well, saying "It's affected everybody. No one ever wanted to see something like this happen.”

The 911 transcript reveals the details surrounding the first call for help. It says the call came in from a disconnected cell phone.

The dispatcher wrote, "Someone is attacking her family. I can't get any further info. On the line with a male who said hello, line went dead. I could hear commotion and multiple people had an open line with this phone. There was a lot of screaming in the background and I could hear someone trying to be quiet and crying."

The first responders walked in and found the bodies of five Bever family members and a 13-year-old girl still alive. "This is probably the most imp active event we have ever had in Broken Arrow," stated Chaplain Scott Keele.

Broken Arrow Police Chaplains met with the first responders right after they left the horrifying scene. "We listened to them, prayed with them [and] tried to comfort them through what they just had to see," explained Manganaro.

They know it's important for the community to continue to stand behind them and the two girls who survived while their brothers Robert and Michael Bever sit behind bars.

Prayer services like the one Thursday night are one step to bringing peace to a tragic event. "Everyone wants to know why this happened. We don't really have the answer to that, but we can look to God for comfort at this time," said Manganaro.

One of the Chaplains said he talked with the 13-year-old girl and told her the police, fire chief and the mayor are all praying for her, and it brought a huge smile to her face.

It shows how much the support truly matters.
