A Tulsa County Sheriff's Office pursuit ended in a crash in the 100 block of South 42 West Avenue. The suspect crashed while reportedly driving a stolen car.

It's not the first time the driver has been arrested on complaints of stealing a car and leading police on a chase.

Sergeant Jeff Freeman with TCSO said a deputy tried to pull Patrick Gregory over for a stop sign violation in the 500 block of South 45th West Avenue Sunday morning. Instead of stopping, Gregory took off and went a short distance before crashing.

His car took out two street signs then damaged two vehicles parked outside someone's home.

"It's scary, you know," said neighbor Beverly Ward. "I could've been backing out of my driveway, and he couldn't hit me. Thankfully, I wasn't."

Ward witnessed Tulsa County deputies chasing Gregory through her neighborhood. She said it sounded like a motorcycle coming down the street. When she looked out the window, she saw him turn the corner with the sheriff's vehicle following.

"I heard the crash two blocks away," she said.

Gregory, 25, got out of the car and made it to another yard, but authorities say he was injured. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital in unknown condition.

Uriah Perkins and his girlfriend woke up this morning to see their cars smashed in their driveway. He's thankful they have insurance and are OK.

"We just got her Prius repaired too, so it's - but like I said, we could've been in it. We're more grateful to be alive," he said.

Records show Gregory was just released from prison two months ago for doing the same thing four years ago. Gregory pleaded guilty to stealing a Sand Springs woman's car while it was running and warming up on a January morning.

Police caught up with the stolen SUV and chased Gregory until he crashed into a pole near 41st and Edison.

Once he's released from medical care, he's expected to be booked on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle, felony eluding and traffic violations.
