Governor Mary Fallin appointed Kevin Potter of Bartlesville to finish an unexpired term on the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission.

Fallin announced Monday that Potter will complete the term of Rick Armstrong of Tulsa. Armstrong resigned to devote more time to his business.

“I am truly excited and blessed to be serving on the Aeronautics Commission,” said Potter.

“The aviation and aerospace industry is a big deal for our state, especially when you consider our aviation heritage and where we are today in terms of the number of airports we have and our world-class aerospace industry. I look forward to being an active participant in their continued growth.”
Potter is president and general manager of Bartlesville Radio and is a licensed private pilot. He will represent District 1 on the commission for the remainder of the term that expires Dec. 31, 2018.

Kevin Potter currently serves on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Broadcasters Association, Salvation Army and the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Foundation.
District 1 includes all of Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington counties and parts of Creek and Rogers counties.
