The Walk to End Alzheimer's was planned for Saturday morning at Guthrie Green. The event raises money for research to end the fatal disease and offer support for those affected.

Walkers raised funds from sponsors before taking the 1.5 mile trek. Rain hasn't stopped the ceremonies, but the actual walk was canceled due to severe weather. Lightning made organizers decide the risk was too great.

Volunteers handed out flowers with different colors that represent those lost to the disease, those diagnosed with Alzheimer's, caregivers and general supporters that envision a world without Alzheimer's.
