Man Charged With Owasso Baby's Death Booked Into Tulsa Jail

A man charged with child abuse murder in the death of an Owasso girl is back in Tulsa. Brandon Wade Nordstedt was returned to Oklahoma after being arrested in Kansas last week.

Nordstedt was booked into Tulsa Jail Tuesday afternoon.

Owasso Police said Nordstedt was alone with 10-month-old Emmy O'Rourke on June 11 when he did something to cause her to have a brain injury and bruises to her face and ears. She died the next day at a Tulsa hospital.

Detectives say they spent two months carefully preparing the case against Nordstedt.  

"In a case like this, especially in a case involving a child, you want to make sure that every 'i' is dotted and every 't' is crossed," said Deputy Chief Jason Woodruff, Owasso Police.
