Mark Costello's Widow Files For Protective Order Against Son Accused Of Murder

The widow of murdered Oklahoma Labor commissioner Mark Costello is trying to obtain protective orders against her son, Christian Costello, and his girlfriend, Ginger Rogers.

Cathy Costello is asking for protective orders for herself and her younger son. Two of Cathy’s adult daughters have also sought protective orders.

Christian, 26, is accused of stabbing his father to death at a Braum’s store in northwest Oklahoma City on Sunday, Aug. 23. He was arrested in the parking lot of the restaurant after being detained by witnesses.

In the petition to the judge, Cathy cited a history of harassment and threats from Rogers, including a burglary of the Costello home in April 2014 and a series of harassing phone calls between the dates of spring 2013 to Aug. 2015. The family says in one call Roger said, " Something bad was going to happen to them". She was also at the scene when Mark Costello was killed.

Christian was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of First-Degree Murder.
