Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

A pickup loaded with items taken from a Tulsa construction site led police on a chase early Monday.

Officers said the crew in the helicopter noticed two men loading items into a truck in the 100 block of South Florence near Harvard just after 2:20 a.m. The two men saw the chopper, got into the truck and drove off with the headlights off.

The helicopter followed directing officers on the ground who eventually stopped the pickup at 12th and South Louisville. Police said the truck was loaded with scrap metal.

They arrested one of the men on outstanding warrants, they cited the other one for several traffic violations but did not arrest him.

Police had the pickup towed.
