A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that temporarily closed northbound Highway 75 north east of Ochelata Monday morning.

Troopers said a 2004 Chevy pickup rear-ended a 2007 Sterling dump truck. Authorities said the driver of the pickup, Nicholas Harris, 21, of Broken Arrow had a leg and head injury. It took Ochelata firefighters about 45 minutes to free him from his truck.

He was flown to a Tulsa hospital by a medical helicopter.

The driver of the dump truck, Pamela Williams, 51, of Bartlesville and her passenger, Tommy Scott, 63, of Copan were not injured according to the OHP.

Troopers said the dump truck pulled onto 75 headed northbound and a pickup, also northbound struck the rear of the dump truck, then ran off the road and hit a guardrail.

The OHP says unsafe speed was the cause of the crash.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Washington County deputies, Ramona police, firefighters and medics responded.
