TULSA, Oklahoma -

Police say a car backing out of the Tulsa Educare on North Peoria hit a mom and her child as they were walking to school Thursday morning.

The incident happened at about 8:40 a.m. 

Officers said the child was knocked to the ground, but didn't have any visible injuries. Police did not release the age of the child.

EMSA took the child to a Tulsa hospital as a precaution. Police didn't say whether the mom was hurt.
