TULSA, Oklahoma - Local college students took time on Friday to honor 9/11 victims.

Masonry students at Tulsa Tech built a wall in tribute to those who died in the tragedy. The project, which has a water feature, has been repeated for several years.

It's the first project for new students in the program, and Tulsa Tech’s masonry instructor says it does more than just introduce them to brick and mortar.

"It's also a history lesson for a lot of the students, because they were young when this event happened," instructor Chauncey Kila said.

Masonry students at Tulsa Tech have built a 9/11 tribute wall every year since 2003.
