Pickup Hits Child At Tulsa Intersection

A young girl was taken to the hospital after she was hit by a truck on 129th East Avenue at 21st Street in Tulsa. Police say the 7-year-old girl may have a broken ankle.

The child ran out into the intersection into the path of a southbound truck just after 7:30 a.m. Monday, according to Tulsa Police. The pickup driver slowed down but wasn't able to avoid hitting the little girl.

Police did not cite the driver as he had a green light. The little girl is expected to be OK.
