BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

Broken Arrow Police say a teen who went missing after a fire at his home Monday evening is back home and safe.

Officers said the boy returned home early Tuesday.

The fire happened at about 7 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Fort Worth Street. After firefighters put it out, they discovered the boy had disappeared. Police said they don't know why the teen left or where he went.

Officers said one of the concerns initially was that the teen had a hearing implant and he could have trouble hearing if someone was calling for him.

As for the fire, the firefighters said a preliminary investigation has determined the cause was an accident.
