A lawyer for Oklahoma State says the school notified Texas it wants new depositions from Longhorns coach Charlie Strong, three staff members, a quarterback and former athletic director Steve Patterson if a breach-of-contract lawsuit against a Texas assistant proceeds toward trial.

Oklahoma State sued Longhorns assistant Joe Wickline for nearly $600,000, arguing he made a lateral move to Texas in 2014 and didn't take a promotion with "play-calling duties" as stated in his previous contract.

Strong, Wickline and assistant coach Shawn Watson were deposed in March. All three said Watson and Wickline shared play-calling.

Oklahoma State attorney Sean Breen said Thursday night the new depositions are needed after Strong reassigned play-calling to assistant Jay Norvell last week.

Breen says Oklahoma State might also want to talk with former starting quarterback Tyrone Swoopes.

Patti Ohlendorf, Texas vice president for legal affairs, confirmed receiving the request but declined comment.
