Hillary Clinton has broken her silence on the Keystone XL pipeline. She has repeatedly denied comment on the project. But that just changed in a big way.

For months she dodged questions about the Keystone XL pipeline that would run through Oklahoma. But now, Clinton finally said she opposes the controversial project.

The former Secretary of State previously said she shouldn't take a position on the issue, saying she didn't want to interfere with the Obama administration's decisions.

At a campaign stop in Iowa, a college student asked the question, and Clinton answered.

“I think it's imperative that we look at Keystone Pipeline as distraction from the important work we have to do to combat climate change," Clinton said.

After that Clinton repeatedly stated she does oppose the pipeline. She said in a few days, she will roll out her approach to climate change including installing half-a-billion solar panels.

Senator Bernie Sanders who surpassed Clinton in polls in Iowa and New Hampshire has long been against the pipeline. Clinton's emails though are once again overshadowing her presidential campaign.

The FBI has reportedly recovered all the deleted files, including ones the former secretary of state did not turn over because she said they were personal.
