A Fairview police officer was arrested on Monday and charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography.
According to Enid News, 26-year-old William Meyer was placed on administrative leave late last week when allegations surfaced that he had been sending sexually explicit text messages to a teenage girl.
On Monday, Major County sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at Meyer’s home and discovered over 50 images and videos of child sexual abuse on a computer.
Meyer was arrested and booked into the county jail on five felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one felony count of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. His bond was set at $50,000 and according to the sheriff’s office, Meyer has already bonded out.
