One person lost their life and another was sent to the hospital Thursday evening when a pickup truck and dump truck collide in Oologah.

According to Oologah police, two dump trucks were going west on Highway 88, just east of Highway 169, when they said a pickup going west on 88 crossed the center line, and clipped the fuel tank of the first dump truck.

Police said that impact from the collision caused fuel to spill on the road.

They said the pickup, driven by 24-year-old Bryan Flemming, continued and crashed head-on with the second dump truck. The two vehicles eventually stopped in a ditch.

Police said Flemming was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second dump truck, Charles Shouse Jr., was taken to the hospital for a contusion to his leg, while the first dump truck driver, Edward Eberhard, was unharmed.

Oologah Police said they are investigating with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
