Thunder Media Day

Billy Donovan, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook each fielded questions about health, home and how they spent their summer.

Monday was media day for the Oklahoma City Thunder, which has a healthy roster for the first time in ages.

First-year head coach Billy Donovan led the fast and furious podium charge saying he has enjoyed getting to know the players and the people in the organization.

Kevin Durant spoke second and answered questions mainly about his health.

“You never want to live in fear,” Durant said about his return to the court after being held out of all basketball activities for several months in the spring.

He also admitted to watching the NBA playoffs, despite vowing not to tune in. “I hate seeing someone else win.”

Russell Westbrook, the recently married man, said it was nice to have the entire team healthy heading into training camp. Serge Ibaka echoed that sentiment and added that the team was excited to improve under the leadership of Billy Donovan.
