Tulsans Come Together For Annual Inter-Denominational Worship

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

More than a dozen churches joined together on Sunday night for the 22nd annual Tulsa Together inter-denominational service.

The service is meant to celebrate diversity.

Organizers say the event was originally created to break down the walls of racism within the churches and the community.

"The diversity of churches represented tonight is really awesome,” Christ the King’s Daniel Mueggenborg said. “And it shows that within the community there is a strong desire to build that kind of communion that's able to overcome the differences we do experience."

Leaders of from several of the congregations represented encouraged unity amongst the churches across Tulsa.
