Oklahoma Natural Gas crews worked Wednesday morning to repair a broken gas line near Broken Arrow High School.

The gas is shut off but the odor remains in the area. Road closed signs are up diverting traffic as ONG works to fix the problem.

The area on 23rd Street from Albany to Omaha is a really a busy traffic area during morning commute, so it is forcing traffic on to surrounding streets like Lynn Lane.

Crews estimate the repairs won't be done until sometime between 10 a.m-noon.

Broken Arrow High School administrators sent out an email alert about the break, telling students they will need to take an alternate route if they normally use 23rd to get to school.

It is still unclear what caused the break.

The city reopened County Line Road Wednesday evening.
