TPD: Speeding Truck Swerves In Traffic, Snaps LaFortune Park Light Pole

A driver going too fast snapped a light pole in two at the LaFortune Park baseball fields on Saturday evening, Tulsa police say.

A Ford pickup traveling north on Yale was going too fast to stop for another vehicle that was turning, so it had to swerve, TPD says.

The truck crashed into the light pole and firefighters pulled out the driver, who was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The baseball field was unoccupied at the time, and no one else was hurt.
