Fire forced a family of five and their dogs out of an east Tulsa home early Friday.

Investigators believe a cigarette left on a chair in the garage caused the fire.

The fire happened at about 2 a.m. in a home located in the 2500 block of South 112th East Avenue near Garnett. Almost all of the damage was contained to the garage.

The Red Cross was called out to assist the family. No one was injured.
