Golfers Raise Money For 43,000 Meals At Food Bank Of Eastern Oklahoma

The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma cashed in on the kindness of golfers.

Representatives from Brock and Associates and PGA South Central handed over a check from the "Golf Fore Food" tournament.

It's the only tournament where each team plays with a PGA professional.

Not only did golfers get expert advice on their game, last month's tournament helped raise more than 43,000 meals for people in the community.

"The impact is immediate and it's felt among our neighbors and in those 24 counties that we serve, " Heidi Ewing said.

The food bank can stretch each dollar donated into four meals.
