The Burns Flat-Dill City Oklahoma High School Class A football team did not make the playoffs this year.  In fact, the Eagles didn’t come close to winning one game.

First-year Head Coach Jacob Schneberger said 20 kids began the year on the team.  However, by the third game, three players had been injured, and five others quit, leaving just 12 guys on the team.

Despite the circumstances, Coach Schneberger said those 12 players bonded together, and played the rest of the Eagles’ seven games.

Junior running back Cameron Carter said he’ll remember the experience for the rest of his life. “The love of the game drives us through all of it.”

Sophomore Fullback Jaron Mason called it “something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

Burns Flat-Dill City will move back to 8-man football next season.
