Occasional rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected on Sunday night, and it likely will stretch into rain showers across parts of Green Country on Monday.

Another system is expected to move in on Tuesday morning and it brings a threat of severe storms, and it is possible heavy rain showers will fall.

The commute for both mornings has the potential to be wet and windy.

Damaging winds are the main concern, but the chances for a tornado can’t be ruled out, the WARN Team says.

Some areas on the eastern part of the state could see 2-4 inches of rain over the next two days.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Delaware, Cherokee, Adair, Sequoyah and LeFlore Counties in Oklahoma through Tuesday afternoon.

A flash flood watch means the potential for rapidly rising water or flooding.
