Some of the biggest stars in Oklahoma were in Tulsa Thursday night to be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

One of the biggest names on this year’s list was Kevin Durant.

Durant said he doesn't get nervous for much, but Thursday night was an exception as he became one of the youngest people to ever be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

Familiar faces filled the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel - from Thunder basketball players to Ronnie Dunn and Jim Halsey.

"I've done a lot as a basketball player so far, but this one here, but this is different. I'm used to being at basketball banquets, but you see so many people who have done so many amazing things for this state," Durant said.

KD said choosing his teammate Russell Westbrook to introduce him was an easy decision.

“Someone that knows me more than anybody, and knows me inside and out; I want to share this night with him,” he said.

Westbrook said, "It just shows we are brothers for life. We have grown so much into young men, and now we are at a stage in our life where we can communicate and talk to each other each and every day."

Joining them was artist, manager and agent for over 60 years, Jim Halsey.

"I just hope they don't look at my credentials too closely and kick me out of here," he said.

Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn had the honor of introducing Halsey. He said he had no doubt Halsey belongs in the Hall of Fame.

"I'm surprised it hadn't been done already. He’s one of the most innovative guys and movers and shakers, and we are lucky to have him in Oklahoma," he said.

Halsey managed country music legends like Reba McEntire, Clint Black and many more.

The only woman of the eight inductees was Sharon Jester Turney, the CEO of Victoria Secret, who said the fact that she's from Oklahoma always seems to catch people by surprise.

“When I grew up in Oklahoma I grew up in a farm. I was really thinking I was going to be a teacher," she said.

A common thread in all of their lives is their charitable work all over the state, improving the lives of thousands.

There was one surprise at the ceremony as many of KD's teammates showed up to surprise him and show their support, even the NBA commissioner cheered on Durant.

They took up a total of 20 tables for the night.
