Collinsville police, Rogers County Sheriff's Office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers called off a search after they say man led them on a foot chase after a traffic stop in Collinsville.

Law enforcement vehicles and a K-9 unit surrounded an area at the end of 480 Road near Keetonville Hill, southeast of Collinsville.

"We've been wondering why he came to this location, and with the fact it was a traffic stop that led to the pursuit," said Sergeant Logan Eller, Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

"We don't know why he did what he did."

Reports were that the man pointed a weapon at an officer before the chase began and officers were seen chasing him with guns drawn.

RCSO said one of its K-9 deputies picked up a scent and tracks, but they were unable to find the suspect. The man is described as being white, in his early 50s and wearing a Carhart-style jacket.
