About 40 senior citizens were forced out into the cold overnight after firefighters respond to reports of smoke in an apartment building late Thursday night.
This happened at the historic Berryhill Building in downtown Sapulpa.
Fire crews arrived around 10:30 p.m., but it turns out there was just a dust explosion in an air conditioning unit. People were evacuated from 28 apartments and loaded on to buses and taken to a nearby church.
After crews ventilated the apartments, the residents were allowed to come back in.
No word yet on what caused the dust explosion.
