Police are looking for a man and a woman after the woman attempted to rob a Tulsa convenience store using a metal stake early Friday.

Officers were called to the Kum & Go at 47th and South Yale just before 2 a.m.

A clerk said a man came into the store and bought $3 worth of gas and went back to his older model Ford Explorer at the pumps. A woman with him then entered the store carrying a green metal landscaping stake and said, "Please give me some money." When the clerks refused, the woman left and threw the stake at an outside window before getting into the SUV.

The couple then drove away.

The two clerks said the they recognized the couple who were often seen outside the store asking for money.

Neither clerk was injured.
