The Oklahoma National Guard is planning a welcome-home ceremony for some Tulsa soldiers who have been in Kuwait since June.  Soldiers of Company B, 834th Aviation Support Battalion were deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

A ceremony is planned Friday at 2 p.m. at their facility at 4220 Mingo Valley Expressway. 

The National Guard says while deployed, the Company conducted maintenance on UH-60 "Black Hawk", CH-47 "Chinook", and AH-64 "Apache" helicopters.  

"It has been my great pleasure to work with the Soldiers from the Oklahoma Army National Guard's Company B, 351st Aviation Support Battalion," said Frank I. St. Charles IV, commander of Company B, 351st Aviation Support Battalion.  

The soldiers are currently at Fort Hood in Texas.

In Tulsa, the 834th maintains a fleet of Black Hawk helicopters.
