Merry Christmas, Oklahoma! I hope your day is filled with many blessings. Here's the latest on our Winter Storm/Blizzard looking at the latest data.

Today will be another beautiful day with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 60s.

TIMING - rain begins in SE OK this evening and could have a few showers in central OK Saturday morning. Heavy rain and storms lift in from the SE through the day on Saturday. Here's your freezing temps timeline. Along and to the west of this line, rain will change to freezing rain, sleet, and then snow. OKC roads will likely worsen through the day Sunday. Sunday AM slick spots possible, but not terrible until later in the day.

TOTALS - still time for totals to shift around. Unfortunately, there is the potential for heavy icing before we change over to sleet. The heaviest ice could occur along the same areas we had the ice storm Black Friday. However, this is not locked in yet, and more sleet would mean less ice. We are all hoping for that scenario. Heaviest snow still out west with locally a foot in NW OK.

WINDS - a big time player in this storm will be the winds. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph in western and SW OK. This means blizzard conditions, whiteout conditions, and drifting snow could be several feet high. Also, winds this high will have big-time impacts on tree limbs and power lines. This will also create wind chills below zero at times, so you don't want to be caught stranded out in this storm.

Please stay tuned to the forecast as it continues to evolve.
