Highway 10 Open To Traffic Again North Of Tahlequah

State Highway 10 north from Tahlequah are open to traffic, according to the Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission.

Ed Fite, spokesman for the OSRC, warned that the highway and other roads in the area are covered with a film of fine river sediments so they're very slippery.

Fite said all secondary county roads have been damaged in the immediate river area and warned drivers to slow down.

Illinois River – Tahlequah Gage (US62 Bridge) 5/10/1950 at 27.94ft (2nd highest level 01/01/1916 at 26.00ft)
