Police arrested two men after security at the Avalon Correctional Center told officers they saw one of them make a "drug drop" outside.

Officers were called to the 300 block of West Archer just after 6 p.m. to check out a car in the parking lot.

Security told police they had detained the two men in the car -- identified as Edmond Cadiente, 26, and Devin Martin, 22 -- after witnessing Cadiente throw a baggie believed to contain meth over the fence.

According to an arrest report, Cadiente told police the baggie was for a friend who was inside the Avalon Center. The report says Cadiente told officers Martin didn't know about the meth, but when police searched Martin they found a baggie believed to contain meth in his jacket pocket. They also found other drug paraphernalia in the car.

Police booked both into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of a controlled drug. Jail records show both have a court appearance January 12.
