We’ve heard the 911 from the Pryor man who shot a teenager who knocked on his door and ran off. Now, we’re hearing the 911 call from the teen himself.

In the gut-wrenching call made by the boy who said he and his friends were trying to pull a New Year’s prank, he asks the man, “Why did you shoot me?”

"I just need an ambulance," Peyton said. "I need an ambulance."

You can hear Peyton's pain in the 911 call he made after being shot in the back.

"My side...Sir, why'd you shoot me…I wasn't trying to break in your house…Nothing, sir. We were standing there…Where'd my friends go? Did you shoot them," you hear him say.

Mayes County 911 said Peyton's call came in at 1:12 in the morning. Pryor Police confirmed his call was the first made to 911 following the shooting.

The second call came seconds later, from shooter Derek Morgan's dad, Gary.

“Yes, there was young people trying to break into the side or the back of the house," he said in the call.

Derek's call came in a minute later. In it, he describes what he said happened.

"Some kids are around the back of the house, I think trying to break in. Went around the back of the house - three of them were back there. They were around the back window. Fired a shot, hit one of them. One's laying in the street out here. Get an ambulance and police out here immediately,"

Peyton was released from the hospital Friday, but must still see a specialist and undergo physical therapy.

Pryor Police Chief Steve Lemmings said Peyton's 911 call played a major role in their investigation.

One question Peyton asks in his call is a question that remains on the minds of many, "My side…Sir, why'd you shoot me?"

Derek Morgan is facing a charge of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. He bonded out of the Mayes County Jail.
