A caregiver took to Facebook when she found out one of her patients was denied her Make A Wish.

Cami Hoffman Smith said 17-year-old Brooke is living with cystic fibrosis and her wish was to have Kevin Durant with the Oklahoma City Thunder, design a shoe to bring awareness to the disease.

Hoffman’s post went viral and Brooke’s mother also took to Facebook to thank supporters of her daughter’s dream.

Kevin Durant saw the post and wanted to help. He posted a photo to his Instagram page holding a pair of his shoes saying, “Hey Brooke, I’m wearing these shoes tonight and will sign them and send to you after the game. You’re an inspiration! Keep up the fight against CF!”

Brooke expressed her excited by commenting back, “Absolutely unbelievable! Thank you for sharing your time, your talent, and your gifts with me. Most importantly, thank you for sharing in my journey to bring CF awareness to as many people as possible. You have brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart knowing that with every like, comment, share… we are potentially one step closer to finding a cure!”
