Bristow Woman Dies Crashing Into Construction Truck Near Okmulgee

Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating after a woman died in a crash on Highway 75 overnight. She has been identified as Donnita D. Severs of Bristow.

Troopers say she was driving northbound in a 2007 Jeep just south of Okmulgee around 4:30 a.m. when she hit a vehicle parked in a construction zone. Troopers say she hit the back of a truck that was being used as an attenuator or crash cushion.

The Jeep rolled, and Severs, 25, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, according to OHP. Trooper Dwight Durant said there was evidence of alcohol use in the vehicle.

She was not wearing a seat belt, a collision report states.

The fatality crash is under investigation.
