Verdigris Homeowner To Trump Sign Thieves: 'Stay Out Of My Yard'

A group of homeowners in Verdigris says someone is snatching their Donald Trump support signs straight from their yards.

It happened to Chuck and Angela Tower, who live in the Vintage subdivision in the middle of town. The Towers say they did their research, and when it comes to “The Donald,” they like what they hear.

"’Make America Great Again’ is a big thing for us," Chuck says. "I'm a vet, and it's important to me, and I'm also in business and running the country like a business is more kind of what I see."

But someone did not like what they saw throughout the Vintage neighborhood.

The Towers and several of their neighbors, all on the same block, said, over the weekend, their Trump signs disappeared.

"It was like an invasion of privacy," Chuck says.

He decided to move one of the signs to the other side of his fence, where it can't be taken as easily.

Some have suggested the Homeowner's Association might have taken them down, but the co-presidents say that's not the case.

Galen Lassiter says the HOA doesn't believe any of the signs violate neighborhood bylaws. But even if they did, the HOA would reach out to the homeowner first before removing any of those signs."

Chuck has a calm but straightforward message for the sign snatchers: "It's my house, I pay for it every month," he says. "Just stay out of my yard."

And we can only imagine what Trump himself would say if he knew.

Verdigris Police say stealing yard signs is considered a misdemeanor. None of the homeowners have filed a police report.
