Police are looking for the man who carjacked a Tulsa taxi driver at gunpoint late Thursday.

Officers say a Checker Cab driver picked the man up at the QuikTrip in the 2100 block of South Harvard just after 11 p.m. and drove him to the 2000 block of East Pine Street.

They said that is when the passenger showed the driver a gun, took his wallet and cell phone and forced him out of the cab.  Officers said the suspect was last seen driving away east on Pine.

Police said the cab driver was not injured.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, police say another Checker Cab driver located the stolen cab abandoned in the 1300 block of North Lewis Place

Police said the suspect is described as being in his 30s and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
