Tulsa Public Schools say none of the 32 junior high students on a school bus headed to Edison High School was injured when the bus hit an SUV Tuesday morning.

Tulsa Police said it happened in the 2200 block of East 51st Street at about 7:45 a.m. Police said the woman driving a Ford Explorer pulled out of the Walgreens parking lot onto 51st Street and was hit by the eastbound school bus.

A driver stopped in the outside lane of 51st Street saw the woman trying to leave the Walgreens parking lot and waved her onto 51st Street, according to police. Officers said the woman pulled across two lanes of traffic, and the bus hit her SUV.

The school district said the students were transferred to another bus and taken onto Edison.

Police said they ticketed the SUV driver for unsafely emerging from drives. She wasn't hurt.
