Police say a woman was taken to the hospital after crashing her SUV onto the University of Tulsa's tennis courts early Wednesday.
Officers and firefighters were called to the crash in the 800 block of South Columbia at about 1 a.m.
Police said the driver was speeding in a 2000 Mitsubishi SUV on East 8th Street when she ran a stop sign at the T-intersection with Columbia. They said her SUV flew about 30 feet, crashed through a fence and hit a scoreboard on a tennis court.
The SUV ended up on its side and firefighters had to pull her out through the sunroof.
Police said it appears alcohol was involved in the crash.
Officers said she walked to the ambulance which took her to the hospital. Police said she had minor injuries.
