TULSA, Oklahoma -

Church on the Move is selling the facilities at Dry Gulch USA, home of the popular Christmas train experience.

"This has not been an easy decision for us to make but we believe the timing is right," said Pastor Willie George.

"We are working with a national real estate agency to market Dry Gulch USA, and it is our prayer that it will be purchased by a like-minded organization with a commitment to children and youth."

Ministers made the announcement at church services Sunday. They say they plan to operate summer camp as usual and host the train this season.

"At the end of 2016 we will evaluate future operations so that our partner churches will have plenty of notice for summer camp in 2017," he said in a release.

"I can assure you that there will be no change in our excellent standard of service for summer camps, retreats, and The Christmas Train."

The Christmas Train is so popular, tickets sold out in hours each year. On average, the church sold about 50,000 tickets annually.
