ORU Finishes Comeback With Overtime Win At Denver

The Oral Roberts women's basketball finished an incredible comeback to claim a 59-56 overtime victory Sunday at the University of Denver in Summit League action.

A steal by Kaylan Mayberry with 44 seconds left in regulation allowed her to find Dorottya Balla in transition as she nailed a game tying three-pointer with 41 seconds left for ORU. Balla finished with 12 points while Mayberry added 11 in the win.

The defense for ORU held tight in one final possession for Denver during regulation forcing overtime for the second time this season. The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early lead in the extra period to lead the entire five minutes holding off the Pioneers for a fourth straight road win.

Offensively, Faith Ihim led ORU with 14 points and pulled down five boards. Blair Bryce pulled down 10 boards as ORU committed just six turnovers in the second half and overtime.

Jacqlyn Poss led Denver with 14 points as she played all 45 minutes.
