TULSA, Oklahoma -

The man arrested after a high-speed chase Tuesday evening in Tulsa is the same man police arrested after a chase a week ago.

Police said they arrested Clark Gatwood, 33, after a chase from I-244 and Lewis to 30th and North Garrison Place.

Police said officers were trying to stop the car Gatwood was driving for speeding, when dispatch told them the car was stolen. They said Gatwood sped off, heading west on 244. They said he went down the west leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop, then south on Highway 75 to 61st Street, then turned around and went northbound on 75.

“A majority of the pursuit was on interstate highways with light traffic. It wasn't until the end of the pursuit he got into neighborhoods,” Sergeant Stephen Florea said.

Police said they used spike strips to flatten at least one of the tires on the small car which eventually forced Gatwood to stop.

The chase reached speeds up to 100 miles an hour, but no one was hurt.

Police said they took Gatwood into custody without any problems and found a small amount of meth on him.

Gatwood faces complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of methamphetamine. Officers said they are trying to determine from where the vehicle was stolen.

The OHP and Tulsa Police arrested Gatwood on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, after a chase involving a stolen dually pickup.

Tulsa Police had just released dashcam video of that chase earlier Tuesday.

In that incident, police said Gatwood stole a truck left running at the QuikTrip at 23rd and Southwest Boulevard. They used GPS to track the truck but when troopers and officers tried to pull the truck over, Gatwood led them on a high-speed chase, according to the OHP. An OHP trooper used his car to spin the truck out and law enforcement officers arrested Gatwood.
